Another key player in the Udom Emmanuel-led administration in Akwa Ibom state, Dr Valentine Attah, has been suspended from office with immediate effect.
He is the chairman, Local Government Service Commission. He is said to have been suspended for illegal and unauthorised recruitment exercise.
According to his letter of suspension signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Emmanuel Ekuwem,” this is sequel to his involvement in an unauthorised recruitment of persons into the unified local government service.
“The suspension takes immediate effect, pending the outcome of the state audit on the recruitment exercise .To thus end, appointment of those who benefited from.the said recruitment is hereby declared null and void.”
