Chief Mrs Tola Oyediran ( nee Awolowo) is dead. She passed on few hours ago. She was to celebrate her 80th birthday on 1 December 2020.
She was the eldest child of sage Chief Obafemi Awolowo. Until her death she was the Chairman Board of Directors of African Newspapers of Nigeria ( ANN) Plc; publishers of Tribune titles. She was fondly known as Mama Ibadan.
Family source said she did not show any sign of illness except for old age . She was still hale and hearty till last night being Thursday, 15th October.
