APC, MINORITY PARTIES ELECT PRINCIPAL OFFICERS IN THE SENATE

President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio CON, today presided over Plenary after Sallah break. At the resumed sitting of the Senate, Principal Officers were elected with Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, emerging the Leader of the Senate, Senator Dave Umahi; Deputy Senate Leader, Senator Ali Ndume; Senate Majority Whip and Senator Lola Ashiru; Deputy Majority Whip, while the oppostion parties elected Senators Simon  Davon Mwadkwon, Oyewumi Olalere, Darlington Nwokocha and Rufai Hanga, as Minority Leader, Deputy Minority Leader, Minority Whip and Deputy Minority Whip, respectively.
