NYSC gets new DG as Army redeploys eight Generals

The Nigerian Army, on Friday redeployed the Director General(DG) of the National Youth Service Corps(NYSC), Major General Suleiman Kazaure, and eight other generals in a major reorganisation released by the army headquarters, Abuja.

Kazaure, the 17th NYSC DG, was redeployed to the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Abuja, as a Senior Resource Person, while Brigadier General Shaibu Ibrahim, was appointed the new DG of the scheme.
Ibrahim, who was with the Nigerian Army University, Biu, Borno State, until his recent appointment would take over as the 18th head of the scheme.

According to a statement by the acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Sagir Musa, Brigadier General Charles Bossman, from Nigerian Army Archives was moved to Command Schools Services as Director, while Brigadier General E. Angaye was appointed Acting Director, Veterans Affairs Department (Army).
Brigadier General Bello Tsoho, was moved from Army Headquarters, Department of Civil-Military Affairs to Nigerian Army Language Institute as Commandant.

Others affected in the postings are Brigadier General A.A. Goni, from 82 Division Education to Army Headquarters Department of Civil-Military Affairs and appointed Director Information; Brigadier General F.C. Onyeari, from Headquarters, Nigerian Army Supply and Transport to Defence Headquarters and appointed as Acting Director Catering; Brigadier General S.S. Ibrahim is the new Registrar, Nigerian Army University, Biu, Borno State.
Musa said the postings and appointments are with immediate effect .
