APC Confirms Ajimobi, others, as  New National Officers

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the confirmation of former Oyo State governor, Abiola Ajimobi, as it’s Deputy National Chairman (South).

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC announced this in a statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Lanre Issa-Onilu, on Wednesday night.

Issa-Onilu said Ajimobi’s nomination followed his nomination from the zone.

According to the APC spokesman, their approval was part of resolutions reached by the APC NWC during a previous meeting that was held on January 14.

He said the APC NWC also approved the nomination of Paul Chukwuma as the National Auditor of the ruling party.

Waziri Bulama was also confirmed to replace Mai Mala Buni as National Secretary in acting capacity. The latter had won election as the governor of Yobe State.

Meanwhile, the announcement came after a Federal Capital Territory high court ordered the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole as the National Chairman of the APC.

The FCT high court, on Wednesday, suspended Oshiomhole following an application filed by some APC stalwarts seeking the party chairman’s removal.
