The Honourable Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio is very saddened and pained by the tragic and unexpected death of the Acting Executive Director (Finance and Administration) of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Hon. Ibanga Etang.
As the Commission has said in its statement, we are all awaiting the autopsy report to determine the cause of his death.
The Minister hereby expresses his heartfelt condolences to Hon. Etang’s family, friends, the Management and entire staff of NDDC on this sad loss.
Senator Akpabio appeals to Nigerians to honour the memory of the deceased by desisting from writing and circulating fake news.
On this note, Senator Akpabio wishes to emphasize that no replacement has been appointed in the place of our departed brother at the NDDC, contrary to some fake publications being circulated by mischief makers.
May God grant us all the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
