Less than 24 hours after his defection to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has said that more PDP governors would be joining the APC.
Ayade, who formally dumped the PDP for the APC Thursday morning, disclosed this while featuring on a live personality program on a cable TV.
He, however, did not make mention of the PDP governors he said would soon join him in the ruling party, but stated in the affirmative that “very soon Nigerians would witness what I have just revealed”.
On why he decided to dump his former party for the APC, Ayade, said, “I decided to join the ruling party at the center in order to support President Mohammadu Buhari in his efforts at putting an end to insecurity in the country and not play politics with it, the way it is being done by the political class. I also decided to join the APC so that my people, who voted for me would be recognized through federal presence and support.”
