claims “I need to construct roads in those areas”

Ogun State outgoing governor, Ibikunle Amosun, whose candidate lost the last election to succeed him, has blocked roads leading to two major venues where Dapo Abiodun, the APC candidate that won the election and hopes to be take over in six days time when Amosun’s tenure expires.

The Status learnt that both the road leading to MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, the state capital and venue of the inauguration and the front of June 12 Cultural Centre, where the inauguration lecture will hold on Friday, have been barricaded by the governor’s men.

Apart from blocking the stadium’s entrance with a bulldozer they claim was being used to grade the road, a deep ditch has been left in front of the cultural center making it impossible for guests to gain entry.
