SENATOR GODSWILL AKPABIO AND 8TH AUGUST
Exactly 365 days ago, the move that shook the political foundation of Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria took place in the country home of Senator Godswill Akpabio, when the former Minority Leader moved from the PDP to the APC, in the National interest. A move that has been largely described as an UNCOMMON MOVEMENT.
Interestingly, today, the National Assembly Elections Petition Tribunal, sitting in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, where he is challenging the declaration of Engineer Chris Ekpenyong as the winner of the Senatorial contest by the Mike Igini-led INEC, would be listening to adoption of adreeses by Counsels to the parties.
These are very sweet memories of the uncommon movement in pix, that made Awa governor to open government treasury for the people, he had long denied and subjected to poverty claiming that there was no money.
