PeesReporters.com , a digital journalism organisation committed to the essence of gathering and timely dissemination of information, has made some changes in its management.
This becomes essential in line with its Mission Statement namely, “News Served As It Breaks”.
Towards this end, the management hereby announces a structural change to its operation.
Mr Jackson Udom, who holds a Masters Degree in Communication and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan, remains the Publisher, while Mr Dapo Falade and Ms Monica Taiwo Ladipo have been appointed MD/EIC and Editor, Gender respectively.
DAPO FALADE has been plying his trade with the oldest surviving national newspaper in the country, the African Newspaper of Nigeria (ANN) Plc, publishers of the Tribune titles.
Mr Falade, a political reporter with over 15 years cognate experience, holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree (History) from the University of Ibadan. He also has a Master Degree (History) from the same institution.
To further enhance his skill in the practice of journalism, Mr Falade took a Post-graduate course at the International Institute of Journalism, Abuja earning a PGD Journalism Certificate.
A Deputy Editor with the Nigerian Tribune until his recent appointment, he variously served on the News Desk and the Sub-Desk. He was the Ekiti Correspondent (2007-2009); Correspondent, Oyo State Governor’s Office (2009-2011); Correspondent, National Assembly, Senate (2012-2014); Correspondent, Rivers State (2014-2016) and Line Editor, Politics.
MONICA TAIWO LADIPO
A versatile journalist with almost 20 years post-graduate working experience, Ms Monica Taiwo Ladipo started working with the Nigerian Tribune in 1998 and was with the stable till 2017 when she voluntarily retired.
A well-read journalist with interest in gender related issues, Ms Ladipo had her first degree (Archeology) from the University of Ibadan. She is a holder of PDG Journalism Certificate. She also has two Master Degrees in Personnel Psychology and Social Work, both from the University of Ibadan.
By a dint of hardwork, she rose to become the Woman Editor of the Tribune titles in 2006, a position she retained for more than 10 years.
Passionate about Gender Development, MS Ladipo has trained and worked with the USAID Vision Project on Sexuality and Reproductive Health, 2004 to 2006. She attended various training and workshops on RH&ARH. She has written a book on “Realities of Rape and Sexual Assault” (yet-to-be published), even as articles on Heart Matters, Sex and Romance, His and Hers remain some of her unique selling points.
The Management of PeesReporters.com hopes that the two appointees will bring their vast experiences in the practice of journalism to bear, even as more appointments would be announced in due course, in our bid to further reposition the medium and make it the top brand in digital journalism.
