The Nigeria Police bowed to pressure Sunday afternoon, with Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu announcing the dissolution of the Β dreaded Special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS).
Adamu made the announcementΒ after days of public outcry and series of protests calling for a scrapping of the unit over allegations of brutality and human rights violations.
