Onimesi-In-Council Appoints Falana As Traditional Chief

Oba Festus Olatunji Olatunde and the Onimesi-in-Council in Gboyin Local Government Area of Ekiti State have approved the appointment of Barrister Abiodun Bamidele Falana as the Chief Ojisun of Idọṣẹrẹ Quarters, Imesi Ekiti, with effect from 3 December, 2020.

The news of the approval of the appointment of Falana as a traditional chief is contained in a statement issued, on Thursday, from the Palace of H.R.M Oba Festus Olatunji Olatunde, Olaibiyemi II, the Onimesi of Imesi Ekiti.

The appointment of Barrister Falana as the new Chief Ojisun of Udọṣẹrẹ followed the unanimous decision to adopt him at a meeting of the Idọṣẹrẹ Descendants, held on 9 November, 2020 at High Chief Ofoji’s house, Imesi Ekiti.

Chief Falana, born on 13 April, 1968, attended the Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State for his LL.B and the Obafemi Awolọwọ University, Ile Ife, Osun State for his LL.M and thereafter attended the Nigeria Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos for his professional certification.

He runs his private legal firm, Dele Falana and Company, located at 92, Obafemi Awolọwọ Way, Ikeja, Lagos and No.10, Ogun Plaza, Kpansia-Epie Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The new Chief Ojisun, Barrister Bamidele Abiodun Falana, has been assigned with the responsibility to reactivate the Imesi Ekiti Palace Court, in line with the efforts to rejuvenate palace courts by the Ekiti State Ministry of Justice.
