After hours of planned disruption of the confirmation process  by President Donald Trump’s loyalists at the Capitol,  United States (US) Congress, in the early hours of Thursday, certified President Elect, Joe Biden’s Electoral College victory.
The decision was read by Vice President Mike Pence at 3:41am in a joint session of the Senate and House of Representatives.

Biden and Kamala Harris will be sworn in as President and Vice President on January 20.
