Ahead of the 2023 gubernatorial election in Akwa Ibom State, Chairman Akwa Ibom State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, Obong Paul Ekpo, has advised indigenes of the State to continue in unity and solidarity with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He said being united will enable the emergence of a credible personality to succeed the incumbent, emphasising that only one person would be elected to man the office.
The immediate past State Chairman of the PDP in Akwa Ibom State, who spoke at the Easter Get-Together of the Uyo Senatorial District in Uyo on Thursday said, “of course, it’s only one person that we will have as governor, all of us cannot be the governor.
“We believe that by the foundation of today, God has blessed the vision and the day will come when one person among us, across all offices shall emerge.
“We are not here to profess our personal interest but to put the house in order. Your house cannot be divided and you feel that decision can be taken. Therefore, let us keep this up”, said Ekpo.
Commending Uyo Senatorial District for her unity across every level, Obong Paul Ekpo, the National ex-officio of the party who also doubles as the immediate past Chairman of all the PDP Chairmen in Nigeria encouraged all to continue being united to be able to achieve a common goal.
