LG Election in Iddo Peaceful, Encouraging – Adeojo

The Chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Iddo Local Government Area, Sheriff Adeojo has described the ongoing council polls in the local government as “very peaceful and encouraging”, just as he lauded the state governor, Mr Seyi Makinde for his commitment to democracy at the grassroots.

Adeojo stated this while speaking with Peesreporters shortly after casting his vote on Wednesday

According to him,” I am very happy at the peaceful conduct of the voters here today. Despite the rescheduling, the turnout is very encouraging and peaceful, and it points to one thing, the fact that our people want governance closer to them, and that is why I am thanking our amiable governor, Seyi Makinde for according the people this opportunity to chose their leaders at the grassroots.”
On his programs for the people of Iddo, particularly Apete, if he is elected to the office of the council chairman, Adeojo said,” Let me assure our people that their interest and development would be paramount in my administration. We did a lot when I was opportune to run the LCDA. It is on record that my team did very well in the area of Agriculture, Education and human capital development. I will continue with that laudable programs as the chairman of Iddo Local Government”, he declared.
