Akwa Ibom Progressives Forum (AKIPROF), a socio- political association of Akwa Ibom extraction in the South West Nigeria has risen up to tighten their girdle in support of their very own, Sen. (Dr) Godswill Obot Akpabio as he enters the stage for the political contest for the Presidency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the platform of the all Progressives Congress (APC).
The preparation towards the realization of this dream was set rolling today Saturday 7th May, 2022 in Ibadan when the group gathered for their stakeholders meeting at their Secretariat, Pees Fun Plaza, Apete, Ibadan. The meeting which was attended by old and new members witnessed lofty ideas to bring to fruition the ambition of their principal to become the number one citizen of the nation, Nigeria.
In his inaugural speech as the new president of the group, Mr Uduak Edoho urged members to see the project of Godswill Akpabio as a task that all Akwa Ibomy indigenes in the South West must partake to bring Akwa Ibom to the front burner.
The meeting was attended by stakeholders from Oyo State including representatives from Oyo Alaafin, representatives from Odua Nation as well as Akwa Ibom indigenes in other cities of Oyo State.
An endorsement rally for Sen. Godswill Akpabio is planned to hold in Ibadan soon.
