NASARAWA DELEGATES DECLARE TOTAL SUPPORT FOR AKPABIO ••• You Saved The Life Of Our Brother 16 Years Ago, This Is Payback Time

“Because you saved the life of one of our sons 16 years ago, when he came out as the only survivor in a military plane crash, by taking care of his medical bills, we owe you a duty to support your presidential ambition by casting all our votes for you at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Special Convention”.

Those were the words of Dr James Angbazo, during the Consultative Meeting of APC presidential aspirant, Senator Godswill Akpabio, with   Nasarawa State delegates and stakeholders on Monday.
Similarly, former National President of the National Council for Women Society (NCWS), Hajia Zainab Ahmed, said she was endeared to the Presidential hopeful, after listening to his programs for the women and youths, if given the opportunity to become the next President of Nigeria in 2023.
According to Angbazo, ” I have listened to your programs for Nigeria, but what you did 16 years ago, is the reason why you have my votes at the convention next week. My brother was one of the military officers who were involved in a plane crash which took the life of all the officers,  but my brother was the only survivor.
“You sent substantial amount of money for his medical treatment abroad and today, he has just retired as a General in the Nigerian Army. That is why my vote is for you. When you become the President of this country, please continue with your good works. Don’t change when you get there, because we will hold you to all what you have said today,” he stated.
In the words of Hajia Ahmed, ” your programs for women and the youth has endeared me to you and for having that in mind about the youths and our women, you have my vote. We want a president who will take very seriously, the welfare of women and our youths. I am also very impressed that your wife, as the First Lady of your state, built over 40 houses for the widows. This is unprecedented. We will hold you to your words and we pray that at end of it all, your heart desires would be granted in 2023″.
Earlier in his welcome speech, the  Nasarawa State Secretary of the party, Alhaji Aliyu Bello, had described Akpabio as a detribalised Nigerian, who thinks and dreams of the welfare and well being of Nigerians at every given time, saying,” our presidential hopeful is one Nigerian that is truly a Nigerian in deeds and actions. He is detribalised and totally committed to the unity and peace of our country. He is also an indegene of Nasarawa State and that is why we are here, to declare out support for his ambition to become our next president in 2023″.
He noted that,” Akpabio sees Nasarawa State as his second home and because of the love he has for our people particularly our traditional father, it is time to pay him back for his love for us. He has no excess luggage. He is clean and ready for the job.”
Addressing  party delegates and stakeholders, Senator Akpabio said, “if elected as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I will fight insecurity with modern technology. I have done it before and I will do better for Nigerians as their President. I will promote peace and unity of this country through integration of the various ethnic nationalities. I will use justice, equal rights and fairness as tools.”
Akpabio promised to use education as a major tool to fight insecurity, insurgence and kidnapping, saying,”When you educate your children, but fail to also educate your neighbor’s children, you are indirectly preparing armed robbers, kidnappers and bandits that will kill your graduate children in future and that was why I declared free and compulsory education for all Nigerians resident in Akwa Ibom State, when I was opportune to be their governor from 2007- 2015.”
Akpabio said his administration will resuscitate the economy through development of the agriculture and  manufacturing sectors to create jobs. Do not  look at my face or where I come from. Look at my records. I want to replicate what I did in Akwa Ibom State across the nation.”
