Akpabio Tasks Students on Ethics, Hard Work At Graduation Of Saint John Paul 11 College

The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio has charged the graduating students of Saint John Paul 11 College to be academically focused, hard working and remain morally grounded as they pursue their dreams.

Senator Akpabio gave the charge during the graduation ceremony of the pioneer students of Saint John Paul 11 College, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State at the weekend. He urged the students to exhibit the morality they have imbibed over the years throughout the duration of their studies.

Akpabio who emphasized the importance of sound ethical upbringing praised the Chief Executive Officer of the School, Dr. Mrs Ekaette Unoma Godswill Akpabio for her dedication and motherly care for the students of the institution.

He highlighted the school’s international standard facilities and its commitment to providing a conducive learning environment that inspires excellence in the children.

“I am very excited to be part of this graduation ceremony as I am part and parcel of this school. My son UbongAbasi is one of the pioneer students of this great institution. He has studied here in the last five years and today he is graduating.

“I urge you graduating students to remain focused and not allow any distractions to derail your aspirations. Some of you are going to be medical doctors, some are going to be Lawyers, Engineers, Teachers and other professions. In whatever you do, remember the ethics that have been inbued in you over the years in this institution and always remember your alma mater,” he said.

In her keynote address, Magistrate Mrs. Theresa Nkiru Ntong urged the students to remain focused, avoid negative peer influence, and stay committed to their personal and academic growth. She said the future of the children is bright because of their sound academic upbringing.

Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Onyekachi Nwebonyi admonished the graduands to remain good ambassadors of Saint John Paul 11 College as they strive for academic excellence in their further educational pursuits.

Speaking on behalf of the graduating students, the head boy, Master UbongAbasi Godswill Akpabio expressed gratitude to the school’s proprietor and academic staff for their efforts in shaping their academic and moral foundation and encouraged the younger students to remain focused on their goals.�

The graduation ceremony featured presentation of awards, prizes and certificates to the graduating students.
