Former House of Representatives Leader, Femi Gbajabiamila on Tuesday emerged the speaker of the Ninth House of Representatives defeating his major opponent, Hon Mohammed Bago.
At the end of the tension soaked election, Gbajabiamila scored a total vote of 283 out of 360 members of the House.
From the results announced by the Clerk of the National Assembly, who was the Returning officer, it was a complete walkover for the Lagos lawmaker.
