10 Ibadan students awarded scholarship

Ten students of tertiary institutions who are indigenes of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, have been awarded scholarship by a non-governmental organisation, Fola-Gold Global Foundation.

According to the President of the Foundation, who is also the wife of Mogaji Taiwo Gbadebo Oladejo, Pastor (Mrs) Folashade Oladejo, the gesture was to support the beneficiaries in their various efforts to tackle their financial challenges, particularly at this time of economic hardships.

While congratulating the recipients, Pastor Mrs Oladejo encouraged them to put in more efforts in their studies, to be able to enjoy the scholarship.

Earlier, Mogaji Oladejo said he was motivated to give out the scholarship by the attitude of his parents which, he said, motivated him to give out the scholarships.

The recipients thanked the Foundation for the scholarship award and promised to use the money judiciously in the pursuit of their academic programme. They prayed that God will continue to lift the couple in all their endeavours.

Attendees included Vice Chancellors of universities, lecturers, different social groups in Ibadan, Iwo Road Area Commander, business men and women, politicians, including Otunba Reuben Famuyibo, Engineer Femi Babalola, Chairman of Jogor Event Centre, Dr Ademola Ariyo and Elder Kayode Ojo

Others included Alhaji Kola Animashaun, former chairman, Oyo State League of Veteran Journalists, Elder Kayode Bamiduro, former Special Assistant Media to the immediate past Governor of Oyo State, late Senator Abiola Ajimobi and Alhaji Musbau Azeez.
