NUC Transfers Ownership of LAUTECH To Oyo

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has resolved the crisis bedeviling the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso as it announced the transfer of the ownership of the institution to the Oyo State government.
The Executive Secretary of NUC, Professor Abubakar Rasheed, made the disclosure at a press briefing in Abuja, today.
With the development, the Osun State government would take full ownership of the university’s College of Health Sciences in Osogbo.
According to NUC boss, the resolution was made as a way to resolve the lingering ownership crisis that rocked the university for several years.
Rasheed expressed optimism that the development would lay to rest the agelong ownership crisis bedevilling the university, noting that Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and his Osun State counterpart, Adegboyega Oyetola, signed a Memorandum of Agreement to ratify the position.
