OBA Visits Families Of Slain Aides.•••Says  Time Can Never Heal Their Loss

The governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Senator Albert Bassey Akpan (OBA), has declared that not even the passage of time can heal the effect of the recent gruesome murder of his close aides.

OBA, who went straight from the Victor Attah Airport on his return to the state on Friday, October 14, 2022, to visit the families of his late Chief of Protocol, Imoh Isang , and Convoy Commander, Inspector Odey Linus , described them as “irreplaceable”.

Accompanied by his wife, Imaobong; deputy governorship candidate, AIG Asuquo Amba; the State Chairman of YPP, Apostle Nyeneime Andy ; DG of campaign, Pst Sunny Ibuot and other directors, the Senator recalled the selflessness, patriotism and commitment to duty of “the fallen heroes”, who were killed on October 7, 2022 in Imo state while on official assignment.

He described the late Isang as not just his most closest staff but “a brother” and the late Odey as one of the most active and competent Police Officers he has ever worked with.

The family members who spoke on behalf of the bereaved families thanked Senator OBA and the Akwa Ubok Abasi Campaign Organization for the visit and promised to notify them of the burial arrangements in due course.
