President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, GCON, on Monday, played host to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, his deputy, Senator Akon Eyakeyin, as well as critical stakeholders and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), from the three Senatorial Districts of the state.
The Governor’s visit, it was gathered, was to formally consult the number three citizen in Nigeria, about his intention to once again, take a shot at the governorship of the state in 2027.
At the end of the visit, the Senate President publicly endorsed the candidacy of Governor Eno, gave him his blessings and urged party stakeholders and leaders to rally round him and all candidates of the party during the 2027 general elections.
