Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, on Monday, fulfilled one of his electoral promises to the residents of Apete and Awotan, with the commencement of the reconstruction of the road leading to Akufo.
Already, illegal structures along abandoned road were seen being pulled down, while shop owners were also seen packing their wares from their shops.
Some residents of the area who spoke with Pees reporters commended the governor for keeping to the
promise he made to them during electioneering campaigns.
